The Solahart Donnybrook Adventure Relay is an annual event held on the second last Saturday of November.

This event attracts competitors from as far north as Perth, south to Albany and all over the South West.

Comprising of five sections which total 89.4kms, the race commences at Glen Mervyn Dam at 10.30AM with the 12kms run through some not too hilly bush land. This is followed by the 19kms mountain bike ride, the first half tough the second half easier. The 7kms canoe paddle then takes place, followed by a half hour lunch break. The swim section of 1.4kms is next after which the cyclists start their 50kms ride towards Donnybrook. Seven kilometres out of Donnybrook they turn off Boyup Brook road, into Charley Creek Road, then Wildmere Road, Brookhampton Road, into Wade Road, then Sandhills Road and back onto Boyup Brook road and into Donnybrook. Entering Donnybrook they ride down the main street, turn into Reserve Street (past the Apple fun Park) around into Emerald Street and finish at the Recreation Centre.


Categories in which to enter are women’s, open, corporate, iron man, iron woman, vet’s (age 35 and up), super vet’s (ages 50 and up) and juniors (aged under 18).


All competitors must have turned 13 on or before the day of the event.


Registrations close the Saturday before the event. Late entries will be taken at Glen Mervyn Dam on the morning between 8a.m. and 10a.m..


Prize presentations and drinks are held at the Recreation Centre at the end of this fun but tough day.
